Africa’s very own castle beer – The Castle Lager is a double malt that combines two carefully selected south African malts. It is usually produced in local malting plants. Pour it into a glass to find a crystal clear yellow colour with a moderate amount of visible carbonation. The beer carries light aromas of pale malts and skunk with it. The taste follows the smell and has a bit stronger, but still light flavours of skunked pale malts. There is a faint amount of bitterness. Tap on the link and buy it right away for your house party.
- This feels a bit more than light-bodied, a bit smooth and rather clean on the palate.
- It has a slight amount of carbonation.
- An easy to drink that gives you a nice mouthfeel

Castle beer is the first beer I reach for when I’m in the mood for a light, crisp beer. Its pleasant bitterness offers just enough flavour to keep me interested and doesn’t overpower the palate with hops. Castle Lager is a great crisp, refreshing beer any time of the year and is one of my favourites.

All around beer, Castle Lager is a classic that you should buy if you have not already.

Castle was the first beer I tried when I moved to New Zealand. I was surprised by its lack of flavor but found that it went well with a number of food pairings.

Castle beer is a great light beer with a nice crisp bitterness. It’s a great beer to enjoy any time of the year and it’s one of my favorites. I like that it’s also pretty affordable and easy to find.
